Most Australians would be familiar with Energizer batteries - but for use in small devices.
Back in 2020, Energizer unveiled its solar battery. The Homepower system is an AC-coupled all-in-one home energy storage solution suitable for indoor and outdoor installation.
The Energizer Homepower isn't a big system in terms of capacity (6.1kWh), but the modular design enables the addition of up to three Sub units for a maximum total capacity of 24.4 kWh. Rather than being stacked on top of one another, the Sub units are added to the side of the system.
The unit has a power output capacity of 3.6kW. According to Energizer, the round-trip efficiency of the Homepower is 94%.
The Homepower is backup-ready to some degree and is accompanied by a 10-year, 10,000 cycle warranty in normal use cases. Assuming all warranty conditions are met, Energizer guarantees 70% capacity at 10 years. Some other popular home battery brands only guarantee 60%.
