Installation went well, but was only 24 hours ago, so hopefully no issues arise.
The company was good. Quick to quote, responsive to calls and provided a bespoke quote based on our preferences. Installation was on time and on the day I requested with minimal disruption to the household.20 February 2024

A professional and efficient organisation.
Sales process was efficient, and low-key; without pressure. Thx quotes price compared very favourably with others. The entire process allowed us plenty of time for decision making. Knew their product just that bit better
Westsun Solar was one of three companies suggested by SolarQuotes. Two of those companies visited the house and offered very good proposals. The equipment offered by the two companies was identical.Westsun Solar was selected because the installation concept was better suited to our property. This was due to the site visit being by someone who knew their products’ capabilities just a little bit better.
Installation was on time and done well. Small suggestion: Make clear that someone will be needed at home for the entire duration of installation - it can’t be unattended.
Power on and it all works.

Easy to deal with. Great results
Neil quoted well, polite, not pushy. Followed up just before the quote expired to ask if there was anything else he could provide.Went with 6.6KW Jinko panels (16x), Huawei 5kw inverter, Backup Box and 10kw battery
Admin team kept in touch, until install.
Installers were professional. Clean tidy install over 1.5 days. Explained everything at the end.
Would recommend Westsun Solar.

About 11 months in and the system has met all expectations. Hardware is great, no issues. Support from Huawei on the two occasions I have asked them questions - met expectations. My only complaint is the geo-blocking when trying to check stats outside of Australia. I could not log in to check.Had no hardware outages. No reason to contact the installer for support yet.
Almost 11 months, 7.47MWh produced. 4.28MWh self-consumption. 3.18MWh fed back to grid.*1 MWh used from grid* If given the chance to do over, I'd have seriously consider more panels facing sunset and at least another 5KW of battery to use more of own power, rather than feed back to grid and get paid almost nothing. *Still may add a bit more battery to help with air con in summer and heating in winter. Two thumbs up.

Great experience with Westsun Solar

No not really. I thought there would have been bigger savings considering we completely changed when we used our appliances. I suppose I'm most disappointed with where the panels are on the roof because they weren't put where the salesman said they were going to be put so we have quite a few on the eastern side of the house where they only get a few hours sun so I don't think we will ever get the promised output. Simple!
Elias made the quoting process easy and was able to answer all my questions. He listened to my concerns and was able to provide new solutions as required.The three installers turned up on time to complete the job and had good communication about where the inverter was getting installed and when they would need to turn the power off. They did a neat job during the installation and tidied up after themselves.
Overall the customer service and installation was great!

Good process from start to finish
The quoting, sales, installation, pricing, and hardware was mostly satisfactory. However, I asked for the installer password for my inverter to keep for my records in case another company ever performs any work on my system. Westsun have refused to provide the password with no justification. This means no one else can ever configure my inverter if Westsun go out of business or are unavailable. I am disappointed by this, and have lowered my rating of Westsun because of it.Panel rating: 5/5

Neat Job
The process from site inspection to installation was professionally done. They explained clearly the cable routing from the roof panels to the inverter and thence to the main switch board. From the first contact, WestSolar Energy were easy to deal with. Good early information and answered all my questions.The installation team were very professional and cleaned up nicely after completing the project. Good System, Good Service
The people were all great to deal with. However they did forget 2 of our panels and had to come back 2 days later to complete the install. It is not the best price, but we did choose higher quality panels.07 October 2022
Easy process, non-pushy sales.
Happy with the process after going with Westsun. Was initially quoted for a 3kW system using QBoost panels and Huawei inverter but ultimately decided on a 5kW (Trina/Goodwe) went with the lower tier brands solely down to my budget. Installation did take some time, it was around 6 weeks between accepting the quote and the day of the install. Neil was my sales person and he was good in answering my questions and wasn't pushy.03 June 2022

I found the people I dealt with from the salesperson Neil, to the lady on the phone Lisa and to the installer Luke to be friendly, polite and knowledgeable.Unfortunately our internet isn't as reliable as I thought it was and we have had trouble with the wi fi reaching the inverter, I hope this will be resolved shortly with the new extender I purchased.

Good installation, efficiently delivered
WestSun installed a 15kWh battery for me, as well as upgrading my inverter and installing some new panels as well.I was very happy with the result. Installation is neat and tidy and their staff (Elias for Sales, Jesse for install) were helpful throughout. They even tolerated my various geeky queries about the tech!

Great company to deal with!`
From start to finish Westsun were great to deal with. Lisa was such a pleasure to deal with, listened to my questions and gave me options. Non pushy and patient.Installation was great. Jesse and the boys turned up at the appointed time, explained to me what was going to be done. Upon completion ran through what they did and helped me with the monitoring app.
Left in a tidy manner. Everything went smoothing. Thanks again Westsun. Definitely give them a call and speak to Lisa!

The sales person made the effort to find the best solution for me.The installers had a difficult job, but made every effort to sort out the best method to install. They were polite, clean and diligent to finish the job in one day, when it looked like that could not happen. They stayed until 6pm to finalise the job

Outstanding!
So I did a ton of research before selecting the company I wanted to do my solar install and I’m pleased I did. Some are flat out liars and you learn quite quickly who the cowboys are in the industry but Westsun was the absolute stand out! They didn’t do the hard sale - where you have to sign up now. They were knowledgeable of all brands and knew their stuff.That alongside company security, their great reviews, the competitive prices, and just feeling comfortable without the pressure was a huge bonus for me.
The install guys were fast, efficient and happy - even on a 39 degree day.
And my sales guy was contactable day after my install on helping me with the smart monitoring which I’m sure isn’t apart of his job so I’m extremely grateful.
I’m very happy with choosing Westsun Solar, and would do it again!!

Happy with my choice
My experience with Westsun Solar was overall positive and the quote was competitive in comparison with the other 2 companies that I approached.The system design information Ben provided was clear, simple yet informative and heaps better than the other 2 companies that I approached.
Dealing with Lisa in the office was smooth and the installers were prompt, polite and the work was of good quality. I recently re-pointed and re-painted my tiled roof and was a bit apprehensive to have work done on it. The guys only broke 5 tiles in total but swapped them all out so that the appearance of my roof remains as before.

On time, as per quote
We came into this not knowing very much at all about solar, and learned a lot thanks to SolarQuotes and all three of the companies that quoted for us. All three provided three strong quotes with good alternatives, but we had by that time decided what system to purchase – using the new Sunpower Maxeon 400 watt panels teamed with a Solar Edge optimised inverter – and two of them quoted on that. Westsun provided the better price and won the business.Their sales team were very helpful, and the office and installation teams very professional. A measuring team came around to check that the system could be fitted as per the quote, and my assumption was that there would be "contingencies" or issues that would change the price, but instead they confirmed what had been proposed, and set an installation date less than two weeks away. On the day the team turned up pretty much on time, worked hard all day, and by late mid-afternoon we had a solar system. It was much easier and more professional than I had hoped. The office staff had liaised with Western Power and Synergy, so the system went to work the same day with no glitches.
The only disappointing factor was that for some reason Solar Edge have decided that they no longer support energy usage data for the user, so we can see what energy we are generating but not how much we are using or returning to the grid. Very, very annoyed with Solar Edge!

We spent more to get the best possible panels and inverter, and together they are awesome. Our energy provider, Synergy (Western Australia) gives us daily readings on energy produced and exported by our system, and energy drawn from the grid, so we know exactly where we stand.Most days at this time of year (summer in Western Australia) we get around three hours of maximum production (5kw) and since the system was switched on in mid-March to mid-December, we have produced over 16mWh. The lowest point was July (mid-winter), where we produced 367kWh, with excellent increases over the ensuing months. In November 2021 our system produced over 1mWh. Since mid-August our system has regularly exported over 20 kWh per day to the grid, rising to 30+ kWh per day for a lot of days since October 5. We are currently peaking at around 33 kWh per day on full sun days (of which we have quite a few in Perth).
Overall, this has exceeded my expectations, and although Synergy pays peanuts for our exports, our electricity bill for October/November 2020 was about 2.5 x higher than for 2021. Over the summer months, when we use our air conditioning during the day to keep the house cool, we expect that differential to rise significantly. At that rate it will still take quite a few years to pay back out investment, but we are playing our part in reducing coal usage, and when energy prices rise (as I know they will), every year our system becomes more economic.
We would definitely recommend our system as-is, and our supplier, Westsun Solar.

Great service
Sales person explained all our options very well.Installers had to return a week later to finish due to rain.
Grid Connection was organised and all went well with installer explaining the workings and how to use the app very easily.

Nikki the salesperson to deal with and when she could not answer my queries she referred me to Ben the director and all questions answered. Early stages but happy
We had a 6.6kw system with a 5kw fronius inverter installed by westsun solar. The panels are Q-cell. We are happy with the price, customer service, installation and performance so far. We have only had the system installed for five days, but all seems to be running well. We couldn't fit all the panels facing north due to already having solar hot water. So we have some panels facing east. The system has been producing 43kwh a day since being installed.Panel rating: 5/5

Great install day and system looks great and working well
I found Westsun Solar via solarquotes.com.au ... they were the best value for money of the 3 quotes (sensible price for quality panels and inverter). Install day went great. Really professional crew who walked me though the process and it looks great. Started 7am and were done by ~2pm. Would recommend them to anyone. If I had to pick flaws their quoting documentation was a bit slap-dash and the handover after install could have been more informative (partly my fault as I left close to the end). The app on my phone works well and I love seeing the energy being captured. The WiFi connection dips out every now and then, but the machine catches the records up when it reconnects. Westsun quoted and arranged for another great crew to come and install a heat pump up to replace the gas system the same day - that was installed in 2-3 hours. The 270 L iStore Heat Pump was $3000 including Government Rebate.31 October 2020
Westsun - Solar install in Perth
Westsun did a professional job from quote to install. None of the 3 companies that provided the quotes were pushy. I ultimately went with Westsun as they had the best price once I had asked for a price comparison of the system I preferred which was Fronuis Primo with 19 x Q.Maxx G2 350w panels plus Fronuis smartmeter. Westsun had originally quoted this system.Westsun organised the meter change out with Western Power after we provided a copy of our bill and then came and installed early this week. 3 guys - all done easily in one day - making power by 3pm.
Very happy and a bit addicted to watching the power consumption on the Solarweb site.
The smart meter was worth the extra cost as it allows me to see - amount produced - what is directly consumed and what is sent tot he grid.
I have been able to see what using different appliances use during the times of their operation.

Selection of a solar system was so easy
First a big thank you to Ben and the whole team for the selection and installation of our solar system.Ben was great to deal with and answered all my questions promptly and efficiently. He even got me over the line regarding the orientation of our panels. The Keep it Simple comparison table was so useful to ensure we could compare like with like.
The installers were a great team and kept us entertained with background singing. They arrived on time and left no mess. We could not ask for more.
We look forward to many years of reliable service and reduced power bills.

Great service
From the get go these guys were professional in every way. Admin was very friendly over the phone and sent me a few options, they also have their own installation team who were friendly and did a great job minimal fuss. They came in did the job and answered a few other questions of mine and showed me how it all works. Although l haven't seen a new bill yet due to just having the system installed, l'm very happy.Thanks guys
