Sydney-headquartered Solahart is a well-known name in Australia, having been involved in solar hot water here for 70 years.
Not only famous locally, the company's products are also used well beyond our shores. Solahart says one million of its systems have been installed in more than 70 countries around the world and in some pretty extreme locations; from Everest Base Camp in Nepal to Antarctica.
In 2011, the company began offering full PV solutions and these days has its own Solahart branded solar panels
There are two product lines in Solahart's solar panel portfolio - the SunCell and the Silhouette
But Solahart doesn't manufacture these modules - they are made by China's Astronergy (SunCell) and South Korea's Qcells (Silhouette). That's not a bad thing as Astronergy seem okay according to feedback we've seen from Australian customers and Qcells is a solid brand, but it's handy to know. Solahart says the panels are custom-designed and built to the company's strict quality specifications.
Solahart SunCell Panels
The SunCell features "half-cell technology", which as the name suggests means the cells are cut in half. Why do this? Panels with half-cut cells tend to perform better in situations where shade may creep up on a section of a solar panel during the day. Half-cut cells also provide a bit of an efficiency boost generally. You can find out more about half-cut solar cells here.
Made in China, the 400W SunCell boasts a module conversion efficiency of 20.5%, dimensions of 1722 mm x 1134 mm x 30 mm (including frame) and a weight of 21.6 kilograms. Solahart SunCell panels have a 15-year product and 25-year performance warranty.
Solahart Silhouette Panels
Launched in 2019, the Solahart Silhouette is a black solar panel also featuring half-cell technology. Manufactured in China (previously in Korea), the Silhouette is currently available as a 415W panel and has conversion efficiency of up to 21.3%. The panel's dimensions are 1722 mm x 1134 mm x 30 mm and it weighs 21.3kg.The product warranty for the Silhouette is 25 years and the performance warranty is 30 years.

I had 31 N-Type 415W SolaHart Silhouette panels (12.86Kw) fitted to my roof and after 12 months they have generated extremely well averaging about 5% more than I had calculated for their first years use.
I have historical data for Sun hours going back about a decade and factored this data in, so to have these panel out perform my calculations by such a degree was very pleasing.
SolaHarts estimations were more conservative than mine, so for the time being the 30-year performance warranty (for what that's worth) isn't going to be needed any time soon.
They look very smart and have self cleaned very well over the year.
